Granite State College Make a Difference-teach

Hi, I'm Elaine Millen and I am an Associate Dean at Granite State College, one of the state colleges within the University System of New Hampshire. My primary responsibiliy is to coordinate the regional center and Conway NH classes , but I also have responsibilites for the Berlin NH college and Littleton NH college. 

Having a job and living in the north country, amongst the beauty of the White Mountains, gives me the chance to enjoy the outdoors in the summer and ski throughtout the winter months. I have been an educator all my professional life. I have  worked in public schools as a teacher and an administrator, taught at the college level at both the undergraduate and graduate level and written several books in education.

Here at GSC, I work in the education division supporting students who are working toward their teaching degrees and teacher certification in the area of special education. Behavioral science classes and early childhood classes all lead to affordable bachelor degrees. The courses are web-based and accelerated adult degrees. I look forward to our on-going conversation about education students for the skills they need in the 21st century and sharing the experiences of the field work I enjoy in the schools throughout New Hampshire.
