Meet the Dean of Graduate Studies at Granite State College

Picture of Dr. Scott Stanley Greetings!

I am the Dean of Graduate Studies at Granite State College. Prior to GSC I served as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies (CPS). At CPS I was responsible for academic and faculty affairs across the myriad of undergraduate degree and certificate programs. During my tenure at CPS I created several graduate degrees, undergraduate fast-track programs, minors and degree-completion curricula. I assisted in the development and execution of Foundation Year (innovative first-year college), and curricula for international partnerships in China, Brazil, and Singapore. I served as the Director of the undergraduate and graduate Respiratory Care Programs.

In the field of Respiratory Care I served on various local and national respiratory care committees, conducted research, consulted on scholarly works, and served as leader in the development of graduate respiratory care education. I was inducted into the Fellowship of the American Association for Respiratory Care for my work in graduate respiratory care education.

I received my EdD in Mathematics and Science Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a MS in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Northeastern University, and a BS in Allied Medical Professions with a major in Respiratory Therapy from The Ohio State University. My research interests are in web based instructional strategies in post secondary sciences.
