Top 6 Commitments to Serving Military Students

Top 6 Commitments to Serving Military Students.

“Military Friendly” is not just a catch phrase. We are committed to helping our military and veteran students be successful inside and outside of the classroom.

1. We Maximize Your Tuition Benefits

All of our degree programs are approved for VA education benefit programs including the Post 9/11 GI Bill®. In addition, we participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program and among our military benefits, we now offers an Active Duty Tuition Discount, regardless of residency status.

2. We Honor Your Credit

We accept credit recommendations from the American Council of Education (ACE) for training for all branches of the military. Each student is awarded four credits for basic training and is eligible for additional credits, which are assessed based on the student’s choice of degree, military service, training experience, and any other college credits that you have earned prior to Granite State College.

3. We’re Here to Help

Our full-time Military and Outreach Specialist helps keep our community of servicemembers and veterans connected to key resources. Whether you need help related to your academics, military benefits, or other issue related to your experience at Granite State College, he’s available to personally assist you.

4. We Provide Deployment Support

We recognize the importance of supporting our military students that are deployed in the service of this country. Students that are called to duty are permitted to withdraw without academic or financial penalties upon presentation of their deployment orders, or work with an Academic Advisor to make an appropriate arrangement to continue to study while deployed.

5. We Feature Workforce-Relevant Programs

We strive to provide the strongest pathway for you to build your career by featuring a selection of degree programs that speak to today’s job market. For servicemember and veteran students, this focus can help you advance your position in your military career or provide a transition to civilian employment.

6. We Deliver a Quality Education

Granite State College is one of four institutions that comprise the University System of New Hampshire. We are top-ranked by U.S. News & World Report for online programs and we’re regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
